Default No Sound

I need help with my computer , i have no sound for the entire computer ( Windows XP )

When i try to listen an mp3 or radio in winamp i receive an error like this :

Bad DirectSound Driver please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration

My computer is an AMD Sempron 3000+ , Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

In Device Manager ---> Sound, video and game controllers ---> i see SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio is missing

I tryied to install SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio but i can't , i don't have the proper drivers ...

Can someone tell me what to install to make my sound work ? thanks

Is the sound card on the motherboard?? or a PCI card???

Search the name of the video card in google - "*sound card name* driver download"

Then see if you can the sound card driver from there.

can't find the solution because i don't know if the sound card is on motherboard or a PCI card

I only know by scanning my Pc i receive this :

Sound Card:
Property Value
Manufacturer Analog Devices, Inc.
Description SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio

but is not there is missing ,and the video card is :

Video Card:
Property Value
Adapter Compatibility ATI Technologies Inc.
Description ASUS A9250

I'm not able to install SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio driver because something is missing and i don't know what

Exclamation Omg!

OK on the motherboard would be on the motherboard.... like... part of it.

A PCI card is a card you can take out of the computer... like your video card (if you have a video card) it could be PCI express.

Do you know what i mean now???

Someone else could explain it a bit more for you.
