Default XP Pro Disc

My xp pro install disc for some reason doens't work anymore. Even after takin it to a video store to have them repair it, it doesn't work. I'm having trouble finding a way to download an iso file for xp pro. I don't want any hacked versions or anything because i have a valid product key but hacked is all i can find. If anyone knows where i can download a clean iso for xp pro please let me know so i can reformat my computer. thanks

Well i don't think the OS will accept the serial key being as (i think) that it is inbedded in the software / OS. Also we would not like to speak about illegal software here. The only way to solve is to get a copy off a friend or buy windows vista.

For what I know, the key is not "embebbed" or anything and just about any disk should do.

ya i realize this but everyone i know uses xp home or vista.... therefore, I am screwed. So this is why I'd like to download an iso. there has to be a legal way to do it too. i bought my copy of xp, i have a legal product code, etc etc.

No the key is not embedded into the CD, however you need to make sure you are using the correct version of Windows with that CD Key, for instance Windows XP Home w/SP2, not the original XP Home or XP Pro.

going to have to buy... when this happens people buy a small business licence so then they can use the same key on many computers... like big businesses and schools do.

that situation is the exact opposite of mine and a much much crappier situation to be in. All i need is a damn cd. again.... any help finding a way to get one would be great. a torrent file will be fine with me as long as the its not a torrent for a hacked version of windows.

btw, microsoft is no help in getting a new install disc. the only way they'd let me have a new disc is to pay ~$40 for a replacement product key bundled with a new disc.
