i switched my computer on the other day to find that my speakers weren't detected on my computer. im not sure what to do to make them work. i checked the device manager and no sound device was there, i have also tried my device cd and that wont work on the computer. Please Help!!!

Have you tried to reload the drivers? Or if you have some "off-board" soundcard, you could try moving it to another slot.

The speakers have nothing to do with installing the drivers for the sound card. Is it on board sound or are you using a dedicated sound card? What motherboard are you using? One note...If you have high definition sound then you must install the Microsoft UAA bus driver in order for the driver for the sound card to get installed. Post back with answers to my questions and we can help you out.

Is this a store bought computer? such as Dell, Hp, Compaq, Gateway etc.. or did someone custom build this for you? If its store bought, we need the model number of the PC. If its custom built, we need the model of the motherboard.

ok its a time computer (which i know are rubbish) umm, and i got it in a shop. but there are 3 sets of numbers on the back of the computer, not sure which is the model number but the 3 are:-
00492FA05G4 000187629/014 00043-495-724-318 not too sure if they will help you |

sounds like your gonna need a computer savvy friend or relative to help you out on this one. I did a google search on "time computers" and came up with some company out of Los Angeles california. But the name of the company was "On Time Computers". Same company??? Very shady company from what I read about it.
