Default What monitor to get for $300?

Hi.

I'm going to buy a big monitor soon when I can afford it. But since I do not know that much about monitors I thought I wanted to get your opinions of what monitor to get for $300. I was thinking of something like 22" Samsung flatscreen? But is there anything better for the price?

I will mainly be using it for gaming and movies

Thank you.

I'd say this. It has a true 2ms response time and a correct 3000:1 contrast ratio. Don't mind about the importance of such tight specs, just realize most everything else non-lg won't be everything they say they are..

When i went to greece, they had about 20 screen next to each other. There was one LG 19" normal (hopefully there is also a wide) that was next to a HP pavilion and a samsung, and the colour and "sharpness" just stood out !!!! they were all showing the Starcraft preview trailer and i was just amazed!!!

needless to say i lost the model number....

but yeah

If i find that screen i will get it, but if not, ill get a pavilion...

I think thats the best thing to do. go to a shop where all the screens are showing the same thing, and theres lots, find the one you want, then get the size....
