Default G5 on black icemat?

Hi.

I've heard that laser mouse can't work on Icemats. Is it true, or is it only the transparent icemat? I'm thinking of buying the black one from a friend, but if my G5 won't work I want buy. So just give me a quick answer

g5's can supposedly work on anything, the g5 i own works fine on wood, and they can apparently work on a mirrored surface, and what exactly is an icemat?

Laser will work on anything. Optical mice have issues with glass.

Not the laser, the LED. Laser mouses work pretty much on anything, but "normal" optical mouses that most people have have LEDs in them, and those are the ones that don't work too good on glossy surface/glass.

EDIT: Oh yeah... I doubt a laser mouse would work on glass. My bad, forgot to use my brain...

An icemat is a danish mousemat brand. www.icemat.com

It is an older version that I'm buying, if it works with G5 of course.
