I'm confused about something with vista. When I go to my program list, Crysis doesn't appear. I also did a search in that bar and it couldn't locate it. I had to manually find it in my C: drive to access it.

Everything else appears there. Is there just something funky going on with crysis?

Also, Vista is running a bit slow for me, which I expected. Will I see significant speed improvement when I add 4GB of RAM to my current 2GB for a total of 6GB? (on 64bit vista btw)

HI,
Look for the Crysis.exe file on C:. Usually this is located in the Program Files folder. Right click on the file, click on Create Shortcut. This will place a shortcut on your desk top. Some programs, especially older ones, don't bother to create the shortcuts during installation. It has nothing to do with Vista unless the program is having compatability problems.

Define "slow".

That would save precious time. (I know 30 seconds isn't much)

I had already manually located it and created a shortcut, but thanks for the help.

And as for slow, it boots up to my login screen fast in my opinion, but loading up my startup software and such is a bit time consuming. I've disabled a few startup programs though to see if things will speed up much. Also, installation of programs (including downloaded ones) seems to take up more time than on XP.

Why would it go under games folder? Unreal Tournament 3 got it's own folder >_>

And it wasn't under the games folder.

I want to make it clear. I am not asking how to get it so I can access Crysis, I was just wondering why it didn't get put in its proper place.

Either you unchecked the options in the install process, or it's some weird fluke. Crysis installed the shortcuts for me on x64 Vista. One reason your comp could be running slow it the fact that you have 64bit Vista with only 2gb of RAM. I wouldn't install 64bit unless you had 4gb or more. The main reason being it uses quite a bit more RAM to run. My friend runs 32bit (his computer is near identical to mine) and it uses ~750mb at idle, whereas my 64bit uses ~1,400mb at idle. We also have almost the exact same programs running as well. I'm almost tempted to go back to 32bit even though I will only be able to use 3.3gb of my ram...

I do only have 2GB with x64, but my new 4GB kit is arriving friday ^_^
