While on the pc, I hear a "device connect or disconnect sound" followed by the printer turning on, setting itself, then turning off. I deleted the driver and replaced with a driver I downloaded from Lexmark site. I still have the problem. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks, D

check the power cable and usb cables are all ok
and the your usb slot works properly

i had a similar problem and it was just a crap cable

What make/model is it? Also, try actually uninstalling the device from device manager and then rebooting and then reinstalling it.
