Default Applications Dont Show On The Taskbar

Hey Im using windows xp and everytime i open fire fox , aim , msn , etc.. Nothing shows up on the taskbar. Does anyone know how to fix this?

so the start button and system tray disappear when you start up something? That doesn't make much since.

I think he means that they dont show up in the task bar but the program is open! Do you have any kind of extra bar like rocketdock or objectdock?

no none of that.. The task bar is there its just when i open a application such as firefox or w/e is dosent show on the taskbar.

Have you tried a system restore to a previous point yet? If not than do that!

may be a virus of his system tray has took over the start bar... =S

no virus at all. i run norton all the time. its something to do with the setting of it i just gotta figuare it out unless someone can help.

You should prob know that norton sucks!! It hogs resources!! Get rid of norton and you will prob see your pc be faster!! Get nod32 or avast!!
