All that does is pop-up the sidebar for history. Then you have to right click each entry or day and delete them.

I might of been in the same situationa s yours once, but anyways, for internet explorer:
Click start and on the internet explorer program shortcut cright click-properties then clear history. For firefoz: click tools, the clear private data.
