well its time to build my daughter who is 8 years old a budget light gaming/disney.com computer.she plays Battlefield 2 so it would have to handle that decent.the only thing i dont need is DVD Rom, memory i already have some PC6400 Corsair.AMD-Intel doesnt matter to me i just want the best bang for my buck....and she wants a clear sided case like Daddy ..how sweet is that!

Hmm your daughter is 8 lemme think.

CPU = Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 Allendate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116036
$70

Ram: Already have

Motherboard =
Open Box: Intel BLKDG965SSCK LGA 775 Intel G965 Express Micro ATX Intel
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813121051R
$50

DVD Drive:

Sony NEC Optiarc Black 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM IDE DVD-ROM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827101131
$18

HDD:
ST3250820A 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148141
$65

PSU:
OPOWER XPT Series TOP-500XPT ATX12V 500W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817342010
$50

Case:
COOLER MASTER Elite 340
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119149
$40

Fans:
Rosewill RFA120L-R 120mm 4 Red LEDs LED Case Fan x2 for better cooling
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835200006
$10

GPU:
BIOSTAR V8602GT51 GeForce 8600GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814141059
$75

= $378 and that assumes that you have the following:

Ram - you said you had memory
Monitor - Any DVI or VGA as theirs connecters with it from DVI to VGA or vice versa (if were luckie)
Operating System = Windows,Linux,Ubuntu
Keyboard
Mouse

Also you might need to buy a few IDE to PATA connectors or just change the HDD and DVD drive for a pata one (abit more expensive sometimes)

get a case that comes with a psu to save money, you wont need over 400 watts
a barebone kit may be your best bet here. let me give it a shot here and see what i can come up with
