Arrow Notepad loosing text

Recently i noticed that the notepad was loosing text i had saved.For example it changes a text to "".
I searched for something related but to no avail.
What do you think can be happening?

I do not know exactly what is happening however you can use a free alternative called OpenOffice Writer for all your writing needs.

well am not sure if that would help but in notepad, go to Format-->Font, then check the script, by default i think it should be western.

it's notepad, for note taking. not an office suite

The font is fine, actually when i change font the symbol that is appearing changes font too.
Did you heard of that?
