Default vista SP1 wont let me select aero

It wont let me select aero in the windows and colour options. How do i change it to aero? i could do it when i had just vista.

Do you have the latest updates? Also make sure its on 'Windows Standard' theme.

The other thing to check is your video drivers. If you've got the wrong drivers installed or they're corrupt then the option for Aero won't be there.
