Default pci device

hi i took my vista computer back to xp i have all the drives but no sound in device manger i see a yellow mark and it says PCI DEVICE i have been to the hp site but they only have vista drivers the computer model is m8070uk

Try Vista drivers. They still MIGHT work on XP. If they don't, you're outta luck

What sound card is it? Chances are there's generic XP drivers online for it. Look around, you might get lucky.

If you have high definition sound, then the pci device will be the Microsoft UAA bus driver and then you can install the sound driver. Try the 3rd driver down on this page. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false
