I need help with my custom website. It is purchased from namecheap, and is registered. I can get in the control panel, and have an index file for the page. I can't set it to go to the home page when I type the address though. I get blank screens or redirection errors.
Here is what I need to figure out.. ![]() What do I put where?

no, we bought and host it at namecheap. I just need to get it to go to the index.html file when I go to the name. I have been using a free site, and having it redirect to that free site. I want to actually have the website go to my webpage index.
We have a hosting plan there. I have been using my free page as the redirect page. Now, I want it to go to my files on the index instead. Punk, can you help? What do I put where to make it go to my index file? I read your thread and it didn't help

and make sure the you name the home page index.html you can also create your own error page (i think, at least I can for 1and1 internet) buy naming it error***(what ever number it is I.E. 404).html...but i do recomend for a hosting server you try 1&1 internet.

I have the domain and a hosting plan from the same place. I messed around with url forwarding, and now whatever I do, I get redirection errors or blank pages. I need to know what to set those url redirects to, if any, and if my index is in the right place.

Your host should tell you the IP address of your hosting account. You then take that address and put it in to the boxes. If you want to force people to need www you should be able to set one to redirect to the other. If you want to do that you need to look at namecheaps online help.
