Default Computer Slow After Reinstalling XP

I did a clean reinstall of Windows XP two weeks ago and my computer is now noticeably slower than it was before the reinstall. There is 15 GB less stuff on my computer now, and I have not downloaded any suspicious programs, but since the day I did the reinstall, it has been slower. Why would this be?

Oh crap, my computer was making clicking noise after leaving it on for like 2 days straight. It stopped doing that now though.

let me hook you up:

Download Hijackthis.
Install the program to the default directory.

Run Hijackthis and select "Do a system scan and save a logfile".
Copy and paste the log into a new topic here.

Don't name your thread "Hijackthis log", name it as something descriptive to the problems you have.

Give a description of the problems you are having, in as much detail as possible.

Do not fix anything unless advised to do so.
