Why does it take 3 or 4 minutes for Ubuntu to start, is it because i just installed and its making changes? How can i open bittorrent form startup? Ubuntu will not let me increase the quality of my visual effects, how can i fix this (its when you right click on the desktop) It doesn;t have my ati driver, could that be the problem, if so, where can i get a better video card driver?

The first time it loads, it Profiles your hardware to allow for quicker boot-ups, but 3-4 minutes does seem a bit long. You mentioned your graphic drivers aren't installed, so that could be part of the problem. As far as reinstalling one, I cannot say for certain as I've only done it with Nvidia cards, but this link: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...ght=ati+driver should point you in the right direction. As mentioned, I can't personally vouch for it's accuracy, but eliot has a plethora of info with that stuff so you should be good.
