Default Vista shut off help...

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and when I leave it attented it automatically shuts its self off. Im making copy of my DVD's so its a process and when I start it I walk away from my laptop. How do I keep it from turning its self off. Im not familiar with Vista. I have XP, but I went to the screen saver settings but its not really a screen saver its something else...

Go to Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, and then Power Options. It's probably just set to sleep after a certain amount of time...

Actually that would be going into the control panel and simply looking for the power options icon that looks like a coffee pot with a power cord. Once there you have three main options for profiles as well as being able to create and save a custom power plan to your preference.
