Don't waste your money on 750i board which do not run SLI at full speed!
Get a 780i one if you really want to SLi ASUS P5N-T Deluxe MSI P7N Diamond Why do you need an extra LAN card? The sound card you've choosen is not really good. Not sure if it is worth over the onboard. Choose an SATA DVD burner! If you plan to SLI, you'd better get OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU |

You are paying way too much for that system, check out my recent thread about my new build for less than what you spent I have better specs, and I paid 150 for 1066 mhz ram, you will have even more to spend.
Get rid fo that hard drive cooler it's not going to do you any good. You are only running one video card, are you sure you need an SLI board?

Well I was thinking of having it SLI ready just in case, but I probably wont do it so I might as well go cheaper. As for having the lan and audio I am a noob and this is my first time build so I found a checklist for a computer build on the net and it had lan card and audio didnt realize it already had them on board.
And is the difference between 800mhz ram and 1066mhz night and day? Last edited by N3rd; 04-24-2008 at 06:06 PM. |

Well having a sound card wouldnt be too bad, it would off load some work from the CPU..
but I think its wayy to much for that, look carefully, compare prices and products and you'll be fine!

You're going for an Allendale ? Weird choice. Well I'd suggest a 680i Chipset instead of 750i or 780i seeing you probably won't do triple SLI (seeing you're going for 8800GT's that don't do Tri-SLI) and it doesn't need to have 45nm support?

I believe you can get a XFX 680i LT SLI for about the same price as that? And it has a better memory controller. And if you're going for a P35 chipset anyway then go for a P5K, overclocks way way better.
And change the NEC CD/DVD thing into a Lite-On they're quieter and as far as I know, they last longer as well (mine broke only one CD... After about 9 years of service? )
