Default plz help!

ok, so im building this computer, and i have the motherboard, the graphics card, the case, power supply, ram, and evrything else.
but the problem is when i try to boot it, the system says there is no hard drive and then it goes to a blank screen with a blink white line.

any ideas?

yeah i put in an OS, put still nothing else happened.
any other ideas?

did you have the OS on an old computer and you put the hard drive in the new one...???

Because the hard drive is acting as if it's still in the old computer. Put it back into the old computer, format it, and then place it in the new one.

or what you could do is put the OS disc in the CD drive, set the BIOS boot order to load the CD-rom drive first, then install the OS when it prompts you to.

That too, but I'm not sure if it's even showing him the BIOS screen?
