I have a question that has been floating around.
If I were to un-install all the updates prior to SP1 on my vista machine would that be a problem? I mean shouldn't SP1Vista have all the needed updates? I am sure I would save at least a gig of drive space since I installed Vista when it came out! ![]()

I'm not sure, I think they're needed, They wouldn't be there otherwise, right?

Well, wouldn't SP1 have all the updates needed. I am tempted to un-install the updates prior to SP1 but I am nervous that my system might not be stable afterwards.

I think that the updates are a general part of Vista, not the SP1. I wouldn't remove them, but if you really want to, give it a go.
