ive got vista home premium service pack 1 on desktop, 1.6 dual core, 2gig ram, when i open pictures using vistas default software it can take ages to load, if i use photoshop pictures open straight away, i thought service pack 1 fixed this problem.

When double clicking on a jpg or bmp files here also running HP with SP1 since it was first released the Windows Photo Gallery window will simply come right up in an instant. Any problem you are having in Windows isn't fixed by seeing any updates even SP1 installed but a correction in Windows itself.
