I reinstalled Vista today, which took about 20 minutes by the time I got AVG, Firefox, and a few other programs installed. Now comes the tedious task of downloading updates for Windows. There's 55 updates that need to be downloaded, for a total of 156MB. Now can someone please tell me why it takes almost an hour to download them? On speedtest.net just now (while downloading Windows updates) I have a download speed of 7400kb/s.
Why are Microsoft's servers so slow? Is there anywhere else I can get updates? A mirror maybe?
