Default I need (want) a new computer

Hi guys,

I'm in need of some help from experts, so I came here!

My current computer (P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB RAM...) has served me well for the past 5 years, but is obviously outdated now, and I'm looking to replace it. I just don't know what's good and what's not.

My budget is £500 (obviously I'm based in the UK). I don't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse. I'd like Vista . I'd like my new PC to be as quiet a possible. I'll be using it for various tasks, including using Photoshop and Cubase. I'd also like to play CoD4 on it.

I'm happy to buy it from eBay, eBuyer, Newegg, wherever. I'm happy to build it if I can, but I've never built a PC before (only inserted hard drives).

Lastly, what do you guys think of something like this?

First off I wouldn't trust anyone who makes the blatant mistake of quoting the processor speed of a Q6600 as Processor Speed: 9,600 MHz . That is meant to mislead buyers

I understand that. Pretty much all of the eBay sellers are doing that, I think. What do you think of the computer, though?

I don't normally post much in this section as everyone's idea of something good is different but wait a short while and you will soon get all the opinions you need.

My opinion is I wouldn't mind it myself

The power supply looks very weak. It's not a quality unit to begin with and only has 26 amps on the 2 combined 12v rails.

It's a piece of crap. Any eBay computer will have:

1) A rediculous price
2) A very weak PSU
3) A flashy case
4) Crappy hardware

Okay, but what about the rest of my post? I was only asking about the eBay computer as an extra. :S
