I always clear the history by going through Tools\Internet Options etc...

Are there any other things I can be trying as well? If I can get together a list of things to try then that increases my chances of solving the problem the next time I use their computer. I'm planning on trying tonight before the present is revealed!

One person I spoke to said it may have something to do with 'autofill'. What did that mean?
autofill is a way of remebering the contents of certain forms on a web page eg googe
so when you start typing in google up pops all the history of what you have searched for.

How come there are these few websites that keep re-appearing when all the others disappear as they should do?

Any further tips on what I could try would be welcome. Anything that clears data off the computer isn't really an option, it isn't my computer.

Thanks

I haven't had a chance yet, I'm at work and will try it on their computer later tonight.

When I said I was concerned about removing data I meant I didn't want to run the risk of removing personal folders and files by using something like ccleaner. I'd only feel happy about using a program like that if I was totally confident I knew what I was doing.

CCLeaner doesn't get rid of personal folders. I use it every weekends, it never deleted anything I didn't want him to. You can check what you want to be deleted too.

Just to let you know, its been sorted...

It can be done by downloading IEHistoryView on this site:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html

One user stated:

'I have done the http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html website and downloaded the utility for free and it worked. It took like 2 minutes. All you have to do is download the utility, unzip it to a folder, click on the exe file, check the boxes that you want to delete and then delete them with the X at the top. It works very well.'

I thought 'It can't be that easy' and guessed it was probably an advert or someone with a vested interest in it but no, it DID work that quickly!!
