Hm, mine only makes sound when it turns off...
I'm assuming it has something to do with dust, after all it's an Antec 900 and I may assume he didn't do anything on the inside dust-wize. Try a can of compressed air on all fans (CPU fan(s) as well). And it it still makes noise... Take a look at the VGA card(s).

only problem i had with mine was a cable touching one of the blades on front fan, couldnt see it until i took it apart!!!

I dont have that problem (but i do have a problem with how tiny the case is! and yes i knew it was a midtower when i bought it.... $50, couldnt say no )


Try turning the machine on using the motherboard -- do you get that problem?

How do you do that? The motherboard does not have a on/off switch?

Just short the power jumper with a screwdriver or something
