Default Autorun in linux

Hi I am starting with Linux and have just installed Avant Window Navigator...
It works just fine but there is a problem that it does not start with the system start up but it needs to be turned on every time again.

If it is possible how do I change the autorun properties of the programme. Is there some general application in Linux which takes care of it or do I have to set it somehow via the Avant Window Navigator.

Thx for help
