Default Quad Q9300 upgrade

hi,

if i upgraded to a Quad Q9300

would i need a Bios update?
this is my motherboard

how would i know if i neded bios update? would it not post or would i get a message?

It supports the Q9300 with bios update 1.6. If its not 1.6 just update it before you change processors.

A P35 will not support a 45nm directly. You'll need to flash as said above to use it. Check your current version though, it might be new enough.

Does not have anything to do with the P35 not supporting to directly, if so a bios update would not help. The bios just needs to be updated so the bios can recognize the CPU. The P35 has to support it or a bios update would not help or even be offered

yes it does,it says on the motherboard box 45nm compatiable
