Default newegg.. buying video cards

Whats the catch?!

I see at my local computer shop, a Apollo ATI raedon 9600 se for $106.
But then I see one at newegg.com that only cost around $75. Come on now... there has to be a catch.
Anyone mind telling me why the prices are sooo low?

$106 for a Radeon 9600SE is really overpriced. There is no catch. Newegg is just a good online retailer. The Radeon 9600SE is pretty old now if you ask me. What games are you planning on playing?

I was just comparing a random card (the 9600se) with the store and online.
But I'm just going to assume that the website is outdated.
hmm... does $210 for a 9600 Pro sound like a good price? Or is my computer place just really over priced?

Obviously by looking at newegg... it is..

No, the prices from the store you saw are just outdated.

i think newegg is close to #1 online computer supplier for most people (if not #1). there is NO catch to there sales, i've bought for them for a very long time and they are just great. tiger direct is also popular.

your computer store is just trying to make a buck. look at bestbuy or compusa when they aren't having a blow-out sale, you will usually see a $20-$50 price difference. Compusa wanted $150 for a soyo mobo that i bought for $75. (yes i was a total n00b then)
