Default old programmes

how do i get rid of old programes that still seem to be on my computer. i thought i had deleted them by using uninstall program that came with download or from software. ie medal of honour pc game and even add/remove software...but noticing when certain clean up programmes are running the names/files show up briefly. i assume they are still using some memory but would like to clean out completely.
thanks

Default

remove them from the control panel,
if not, then to go my computer then go to program files, then to the folder that contain that game, and search for the uninstasll program that came with the game..
