Default Service pricing

Do you guys know how much your average computer store will charge for the following services?
  • Build system from scratch
  • Replace/upgrade hardware
  • Reformat
  • Repair (software issues)
  • Case Cleaning
  • Any other service you can find the pricing for

hmm, Not sure if this is the right section for this question.

Pfft. I know that if you do anything involving Fire Dog or Geek Squad (do they do that kinda stuff?), it'll cost you about $600. I have a local computer shop down the street, but I don't know what he would charge for that kinda thing.

I hope you don't plan on using one. You should just do it yourself. It's not like it's hard.

Plus if you don't know what your doing, thats why we're here!

I had to get my mobo tattooed at Best Buy and they took a $30 service charge. They couldn't get the tattoo and they had a no refund policy thing. Damn.

U could do an hourly charge.. plus if u have to repair ne thing then u would include parts cost.. the pc shop around here i dont go to them when i need my stuff fixed but i do for small things like case fans keyboards.. they do free inspection then if something comes up they tell u and give u the option of them fixing it at an hourly rate of 25 i think.. but this place by me is a big rip off i was up there one day and they had some comp that was loaded with virus protection and i heard em say they were gunna take their time to make some money..

$25/hr is about a quarter what any other place charges, so even if they take twice as long, is still a great deal. flat rate pricing is the way to go anyway tho
