Default Help me pick some speakers under 100

I like new egg.

Wanting to spend under 100 to listen to over 200GB of music I accumulated over the years.

I have a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L on board sound card Realtek ALC888

Wanting the best bang for my buck.

BOSE Companion 2

Logitech Z-2300
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002SQ2P2?...0&linkCode=asn

Logitech X-540
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...=0&dcaid=15889

Actually the G51 is a better 5.1 if you don't mind paying a bit more.

If you want good bass: the Z-2300
If you want 5.1: the X-540's
If you want clean and crisp sound:Klipsch ProMedia 2.1
http://reviews.cnet.com/pc-speakers/...7-9807237.html

I mixed the Klipsch ProMedia satellites with the Z-2300 sub and have never been happier.

x 540's are really good speakers and are 5.1 surround sound - here are few links on what you should do - including a sound card.

i think everyone says x 540's here are some pics of my setup

although the speakers are in front of me Logitech are smart and the surround left & right speakers and slightly down in volume - because he has the room for these??? practically no one has room for the surround to be behind them!

I agree with the x-540's. That's what I have for my laptop, and although I have never used them yet, I have seen nothing but good reviews. Some people do however complain that the cords are too short.

the surround speaker cords are fairly long.... the center speaker it's to crash hot.... sort of short.

plus for you to use them on your laptop you would need a external sound card to have full 5.1 sound!
