I wanted to use my "Stim money" for the same thing but the Old Lady said I had lost my mind. Oh well I tried.

Why 32bit OS and not 64bit?

I thought the same thing but doesn't Vista 64bit still have some issues?

Asus P5K is better then the newer Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6. I can imagine it being better as the one you chose as well (and the FSB wall of this motherboard is higher then 510mhz... Which will give you a 3Ghz Q6600 when you set the multiplier at 6...)

The asus one is 50 dollars more. I didnt see a 50 dollar improvement over the gigabyte plus look at the reviews on each board on newegg and sharkeyextreme.

This was a budget build for the best possible stuff for least amount of money.

I think i accomplished it.

Plus down the road i can upgrade the mobo and i am only out 80 bucks.

In general there will be no difference, just that the FSB wall on the P5K is higher giving you a potential higher overclock (do mind, I have seen 510 with a QX6700)

how much more overclock?

i do not plan to overclock that much. Probably just bump it from 2.4 to 3.0
