Default Improve this case for better cooling

Hey guys,

well i would like to try and improve my case cooling....lower my cpu temps,at idle it sits around 41c on both cores which i know for a c2d isnt that great as they usualy run cool.

this is my temp today...note that im Ripping a DVD and just finished playing cod4 so both cores and been used about 50% each.

my gfx card temps are good,it idles around 41c and never goes over 50c when gaming on cod4,my hard drive temps okay at 37c,its just my cpu temp im not happy with.

heres my case ,recomend any improvements?

Side of case has 2x vent holes, one which is right the side of my AC7 pro.

i would have thought with the AC7 pushing the air streight out the exhaust fan it would have kept my cpu cool but seems not

as you can probably see i have a fan (Intake on the front) but its pointless because theres no grills on the front

Back of case, left 2 plates blank for extra air to get in for my 8800GT

and finaly the front.

what do you recomend i do guys?

Put the plates back in. It will help keep the temps down believe it or not.

I would put a different CPU cooler on it and a case fan in the side.

You can try putting in the side fan, and then put another fan in the hole below. And I see that there are no mounting holes... But just make them yourselve?

The side fan won't do much as the AC7pro is a tower cooler. I would take out the entire back fan punch out holes and put in a nice grill. And maybe also do some cable management.

Oh wait the CPU is running hot, then try adding a fan on the heatsink (on the other side of where the current fan is). If that doesn't work well enough try to add another fan in the back that blows out of the case (try to the top of the case).

Actually it doesn't matter if theres no grill in the front as long as air is coming in the fan somehow such as an opening on the bottom front of the case.

I bought a rounded cable (IDE) because my ribbon IDE cable was too short. Thhen i went to fry's and just decided to pick up a rounded one.unless an flat ribbon ide cable is seriously jacking u up, it's not worth it.
