Mate socket A CPUs are so old, it's not worth upgrading it. If you want a decent upgrade you're gonna have to get a new comp altogether.

man,like he said,even a cheap mobo and cpu is gonna be better....i have an old socket A computer stil pretty fast but nothingcompared to my new pc....you could get a xp3000+ for about 70.00 o ebay http://search.ebay.com/socket-a_W0QQ...opZ3QQsbrsrtZd
