Question Upgradeable Laptop Parts?

With all of the recent advances in technology such as super HD or what ever they call it, and games like Crysis with advanced physics and such, why can't they make upgradeable laptops? Consumers can upgrade their desktops with ease, but making an upgradeable laptop wouldn't be that hard nowadays. When ever you buy a new laptop, it becomes obsolete within three years. It could be as simple as unscrewing the bottom and putting in new parts, all they need is for companies to sell the parts and it could be good...
