Default how to stop sites knowning who i am?

having a few problems with security on the internet.

some sites i use have stupid banner's etc that have shown me that my info is available so easy. like my ip address, the area i live in etc.

basically i dont want my ip address, host address or any info available to other's when im on-line. it jsut makes me feel scared to surf.

so what can i do to stop it?

at the moment my setup is like this

me>my firewall on my pc>router with firewall>modem>evil internet people.

what can i do?

You could use a proxy. The fast ones are expensive and have a monthly charge.
For a slow but cheap route you could look up torpark. It works like a proxy and is free, but usually slow.

There is no way you can totally hide your identity on internet, just don't go on weird websites and you'll be fine. No need to be paranoiac on internet

Oops, I think in the rules it says not talking about proxies. I made a comment about one without thinking, and deleted it. Sorry.

its safe. really it is hard to get all that info. anyone can get you ip, but you have a dynamic ip so your ip changes every day so there is nothing you can really do, you can get a general location but that is huge. i'd be better off looking you up by a phone number or something.

If you can see this, you have WAY TOO much time on your hand. Or you're a mod going through my sig. But if you do, copy and past this in your sig.

your right.......its private and not public ya want. Promedius webtunnel is down and closed about 6mo ago. theres others and not free. don't waste your time with public for illegal activity. you might not like it.......

wanna play: giganews / binaries
hands down barred none.
