Default xbox live quiestions

dumb question but whatever..........i live in the boonies on a dirt road and i recently got an xbox 360 and im thinking about getting xbox live butttt my neighbor and i share an internet connection but its really there internet we just have wireless with our mac.....uhmm anyways i wanna get xbox live but i dont know how i would connect it because the router is at there house across the street and im wondering what i would need to do this ...if i could get my own router hooked to there net and just plug that in my room or whats up soo get back to me and tell me please im desperate lol

well im not sure on mac but on pc, u would get a crossover cable, run that from ur ethernet on ur laptop and then to ur xbox, then enable ICS (internet connection sharing).. not sure if u can do that on mac

what if i got the xbox live wireless adapter thing how much range does that thing have cuz my neighbor is about 200 feet away across the road would that work that far or no

im not sure how that would work ive never been interested in the wireless adapter alot of mixed reviews on it

Save yourself money on the Xbox adapter and buy This wireless router and flash it with This Firmware and you have just created a wireless adapter for 1/2 the cost. then just plug it into your ethernet port on your 360 and it should pick up the signal just fine.
