Alright my buddies ma has a dell c600 well she bought a wireless pcmcia card for it and its worked great for months all the sudden the card was gettin no connection and it said drivers were gone well i insert the belkin disc gets to the part where it tells u to insert the card i do so and it doesnt do ne thing just a prompt pops up in xp for the driver search saying ethernet controller.. well i pull the card back out go get my buddies same card put it in and it insert card now prompt goes away and installs the drivers works good till i reboot.. after reboot it does the same thing as the other one.. so i reinstall windows full format use her card installs fine works good till i shut down and turn the comp back on and im back to the same problem.. ive tested both cards in 3 laptops and they work fine.. im lookin for some input

try to connect to the internet via an external usb modem, and if its ok then its a motherboard's problem
