Default Looking for new laptop. under $1000

Hi

Im looking for a laptop under $1000.

Im going to use it at school, so i doesnt not have to be "gaming" laptop. But i want a reasonable graphics card, that can play like some games, maybe not new ones. Im not good with processors.

Whats best:

Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T2370 (1,73 GHz)
or
AMD Athlong 64 X2 TK-57 ?

Im totally blanc.

I have these two laptops that im very confused about.

80GB 5400rpm SATA Harddisk
No operativsystem
Keyboard 3x1x DK
15,4" WXGA 1280x800 - 3215WD
Intel® GMA X3100
Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T2370 (1,73 GHz)
2048MB (1024x2) DDR2 667/PC5300 SODIMM
9 Cell Batteri
Zepto Zpro2 N-Standard (NBG)
SAMSUNG DVD-RW DL Brænder

or

AMD Athlon 64 X2 K-57
20048 MB DDr2 RAM
120 GB Harddisk
559 MB Geforce 7150TC
DVD-Brænder with Lightscribe
Webcam with microphone
Windows Vista Premium
15,4 Widescreen

The last one is from a shop (HP laptop), so i cant change the stuff, 1st is zepto.

I really want XP.

And it doesnt matter with the harddrive space.

Im just confused about the CPU and the card. So dont mind the dual layer thing n stuff.

#2 has better graphics because it has a separate graphics card.

Im still very confused. I want a fast laptop, and graphics card not that good, but reasonable. So im guessing the zepto is good enough ? $850

The intel laptop is better, but it has a bad hard drive and an "ok" processor. You can get a better deal online.

The pre-configured model of the HP Pavilion dv6830us has 3gb's of ram, 250gb hard drive, dual layer dvd lightscribe burner, and a better core 2 duo processor. $879.99.

That is a great value, but it has integrated graphics. Try looking at dell.com/xps, or hp's notebooks.
