Default CD Software

My Dad has just rang me to ask advice, but I don't know the answer to his question myself so perhaps you guys can help!

He's trying to copy a new CD he's bought to a blank disc, but says the CD is copyrighted just like a DVD would be. I wasn't aware they were now doing this with CD's too, but does anyone know of any software that bypasses this issue?

Thanks.

All I want is, less to do, more time to do it, and higher pay for NOT getting it done.

i didnt think it was illegal to copy a cd you have already bought!!

ive done it a few times, i buy them for home use then copy it and take it to work to play in my machine-dont want to pay £15 for it to get damaged

i was under the impression that if you where copying cds dvds off the internet with no original you would get prosicuted for copyright-i dont know because there is that much laws these days people are confused (that includes me!!!)
