depends on what you do encoding and stuff video/ sound editing WAYYY over kill for games

It's not worth it. Christ, you could build a killer rig for a grand and a half. The Rig you built around one of those wouldn't even be much better performance wise.. Proportionately screwed.

in the end you still need a Skulltrail (D5400XS) Platform board..... which will cost another 400 quid.

why would you need one of those for that cpu? also you could just take a cheaper cpu and overclock it just as high as that one

its a server chip, its not really made for home use
