Exclamation XP SP2 Reinstall Questions

As said in the title, i need some help:

1.To back-up my data, do i just burn my files to a disk and then just copy them on the reinstalled OS? If not, then what do i do?

2.Will the back-up work my games and restore them? I f not, what do I have to do to keep them?

3.Will the back-up work on my copy of Microsoft Office 2003 Proffesional? If not, then what do i have to do?

4.This probably should be #1, but i've already started, so too bad. The HDD with XP SP2 is a pull from the same system, but with a different processer, and i have gotten it to work, but i beleive it has malware, so i want to reinstall it. anyway, the previous computer the parts were pulled from were whitebox custom by the local pc builder, and the system only came with the disk, not the certificate of authenticity. do i need the coa to do a reinstall?

despite my limited computer knowledge, i still consider my self a noob and really need some help. Please Respond!! Thank You!!

1. Yeah. You can do this with documents and files, save games, CFG files and whatnot, but it excludes most installed programs. Some simple installed programs can be backed up, but anything else should simply be reinstalled.

2. can't keep 'em, reinstall 'em.

3. Reinstall?

4. You need the 25 character product key. My COA is apart from my product key so I think of them differently. If you don't have it, can't find it, you can recover it while inside the select windows OS by using a magicaljellybean. I dunno if it's the best, but i can't think of any other off the top of my head.

The game should allow any number of installs. Some games like Bioshock had a restricted number of installs, but no longer, it wasn't liked very much so it was removed.

I don't think so. If you're using it on a corporate Pc at work, it would be stealing, but how can you steal your own product key?

The Magicjellybean thing is not illegal as all it does is tell you your key! In vista all you do is go to control panel - system and at the bottom it tells who its registered to and the key!

You can't find it so easily in XP, you'll have to use that 3rd party app. I believe you used to be able to find it in the registry, I dunno if it's still possible. Try google.
