Default How to search for folders only

running xp sp2

my question is pretty simple. how do i search for folders containing a specific file in the folder?

for example, i have 50 folders and nine of them have a file with an exe extension. how do i search for the folders who contain the exe file inside them?

ok forget that example

i downloaded all drivers for a specific model from dell. in all, there i downloaded 59 files. most of them were self extractable, so i extracted each driver to their separate folder. the folders i want are the ones with .inf files in them.

i could find the inf files one by one, but i gotta work with 59 driver files and that aint fun.

is there a way to just search for folders that contain .inf files in them?

Any chance the .exes are substantially different in size, as you could try sorting by size..

Explain alittle better what your trying to do, are you just updating your drivers. If so why are you looking at the inf. files one at a time?
