Post My pc does not Shut Down! just sleep. any suggestions??

hi there!
this is the right area to place my question. So, when i shutdown my pc the external HDD is still Lighting and when i move th mouse the whole system turn on again! i have Checked the Bios but i couldn't find anything, can anyone give me any suggestions?? Thank you for taking time to read my Thread.

Did you click 'Shut Down' and not 'Stand By'?

mate this maybe in some motherboard's settings, you have to RTFM again :p (read the manual )

What version of Windows are you using?!


Win-XP:
Close all the windows and from the desktop press "alt-f4", this will bring up "Turn off Computer", select "Turn Off". What happens then?!

Vista:
Close all the windows and from the desktop press "alt -f4", this will bring "shutdown windows", make sure it says "shutdown" and click "OK". What happens then?!
