-take up less space -don't have the bloat of windows -are a closed platform so games are designed to run on it -don't have to deal with the hassles of a PC I never liked racing wheels unless it was on an arcade box. I have never held a racing wheel I like for PC or console, they all suck IMO. Now, if you built like a MAME box and used an actual arcade wheel, I could get into that. |

I've been playing video games since 1983, and I have never liked a wheel that goes to a console or a PC, I only like the arcade style ones, probably because I was raised playing them. When I was a kid there were no home racing wheels. |

That's just it, everyones always complaining that too many games with flaws are getting a ten in reviews, but most these reviews I read that contain a ten address this. 10 isn't perfect. It's not flawless, It will contain Its flaws. It will not be ubiquitously enjoyed either, of course, not everyone is as into GTA. It seems reviewers are trying to sate those whining about "perfect" scores, but this group of people doesn't seem to read the reviews!
(you just mentioned it, I'm not referring to you)This is coming from a dude who hasn't even played GTAIV, read into that what you will, but I haven't been hoodwinked. I've read most of what I can about this game I cannot play, and I'm enchanted. I haven't even enjoyed the past titles entirely, my biggest complaint being the environment and peoples were too flat, even the meat of a game, story, too light. I'm sure to adore this new iteration. |

This is why I hate maximum PC now, because they give out too many 10s. This game does not innovate enough to get a 10. Don't get me wrong it is probably justified to give it a 8 to 9 just fine. Then again, in my opinion most games that come out today are crap to begin with. |

I'm on the other side of the ballpark. 10 is is pointless if it's never used, which it never will be as there is no perfect/flawless game; it's useless because it's incomparable, and because opinions can never be perfect. The score system for games has always been alittle different than the normal 1-10 scoring system of everything else, I've always thought, because our system is less contrived, not as full of itself.
There's alot of crap released today, moreso than ever, i agree. But there are still gems out there, many not as celebrated, under the radar titles that are simply great. |
