Hey, it is not a bad game, it just doesn't deserve a 10 IMO. I just think it was a bit over hyped, but then again I knew it was going to be over hyped so I guess I shouldn't be shocked.
As for you view on standards. When you review something as a professional, I think it is your obligation to maintain by a set of standards to your readers. They are relying on you for the facts, unbiased opinions, and of course your opinions. I would not give GTA 4 a 10 out of 10. I would say 8.5 out of 10, which is still a damn high score and a great game, just not anywhere quite near perfect. I'd accept a 9 as well, but 10, I just disagree. |

im just up to island 3 and i have only seen one frame rate hick up
i would still give the game a 10 i love it and will still be playing for some time to come

GTAIV rocks. I'd give it a 9.9. All the little flaws compared to how awesome this game is barely matters. And who even cares about online multiplayer? I played this game for 14 hrs straight when I picked up the controller.
