Alright, well on my friends computer, he says that he has a virus because when he boots up, all these pop-ups rapidly come up and he can't really do anything about it, and that's all I really know about it. I can't do anything because it's on his computer, but I am going over to his house tomorrow to see if I can do anything about it. I am fairly new to all this so I was hoping you guys could offer up some ideas of what I can do. Thank you.

I'm not sure about his virus protection/ if any at all.
So if I just boot in safe mode and download AVG and virus scan, it will most likely take the virus off? Why do some people have to do the Hijack This log and then SDFix or ComboFix? |

boot it up normally and do a AVG virus scan and see if it still happens AVG 8.0 will do a spyware scan as well... if this doesn't fix it it... you might have to do a system restore window repair or a OS complete reinstall.

AVG will get a fair bit of that, but I'll give you instructions for all of it, just in case:
Your logfile also indicates that you are running both AVG Antivirus and Norton. Two antivirus programs running in resident mode can conflict, actually making you less safe. I suggest you either remove one, or disable the real time protection on one and just use it as an on-demand scanner. Given that Norton hasn't been successful in preventing any of these infections, it may be out of date or not completely functional. If you choose to remove it, I suggest you use the Norton Removal Tool to do so completely. Please download SDFix and save it to your Desktop. Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to C:\SDFix You may wish to print out these instructions or copy them to a notepad document since you will be unable to access the Internet while in Safe Mode to read from this site. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode (tap F8 just before Windows starts to load and select Safe Mode from the list).
Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix Post the log from ComboFix (located at C:\ComboFix.txt) when you've accomplished that. Please run HijackThis and choose Do a system scan only. Place a check next to the following entries (where still present): R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = file://c:/windows/homepage.html R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = file://c:/windows/homepage.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = file://c:/windows/homepage.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = file://c:/windows/homepage.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = file://c:/windows/homepage.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = file://c:/windows/homepage.html F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDO WS\system32\wmsdkns.exe, O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000250-0320-4dd4-be4f-7566d2314352} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {13197ace-6851-45c3-a7ff-c281324d5489} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {15651c7c-e812-44a2-a9ac-b467a2233e7d} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1D0B1B2F-4D44-48DC-AE5A-F4BBBAE2A83F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\opnmlJCs.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4e1075f4-eec4-4a86-add7-cd5f52858c31} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4e7bd74f-2b8d-469e-92c6-ce7eb590a94d} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5929cd6e-2062-44a4-b2c5-2c7e78fbab38} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5AAAC12E-5597-4354-AC52-C5E8482A68BB} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtUKdDus.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5dafd089-24b1-4c5e-bd42-8ca72550717b} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5fa6752a-c4a0-4222-88c2-928ae5ab4966} - (no file) O2 - BHO: {dbf73dd9-57fa-9beb-c674-21cb5d717a16} - {61a717d5-bc12-476c-beb9-af759dd37fbd} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\wocbxmif.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {622cc208-b014-4fe0-801b-874a5e5e403a} - (no file) O2 - BHO: StFlex IE Helper - {8334A30C-49E5-489a-B63D-5B927C1EF46E} - C:\Program Files\QdrDrive\QdrDrive15.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8674aea0-9d3d-11d9-99dc-00600f9a01f1} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {965a592f-8efa-4250-8630-7960230792f1} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9c5b2f29-1f46-4639-a6b4-828942301d3e} - (no file) O2 - BHO: AVG Security Toolbar - {A057A204-BACC-4D26-9990-79A187E2698E} - C:\PROGRA~1\AVG\AVG8\AVGTOO~1.DLL (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {cf021f40-3e14-23a5-cba2-717765728274} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {fc3a74e5-f281-4f10-ae1e-733078684f3c} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {ffff0001-0002-101a-a3c9-08002b2f49fb} - (no file) O3 - Toolbar: AVG Security Toolbar - {A057A204-BACC-4D26-9990-79A187E2698E} - C:\PROGRA~1\AVG\AVG8\AVGTOO~1.DLL (file missing) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [a0304e86] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\peutnxlp.dll",b O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BMa3037d1a] Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\gggcnmrb.dll",s O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [QdrModule15] "C:\Program Files\QdrModule\QdrModule15.exe" O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [QdrPack15] "C:\Program Files\QdrPack\QdrPack15.exe" O18 - Filter hijack: text/html - {07851C6A-1C43-41d9-8319-BC89154A8C00} - C:\Program Files\RcvSystem\httpdchk.dll O20 - Winlogon Notify: opnmlJCs - opnmlJCs.dll (file missing) O21 - SSODL: WebProxy - {66186F05-BBBB-4a39-864F-72D84615C679} - sockins32.dll (file missing) Please close all open windows except for HijackThis and choose Fix checked Please reboot and post
