1) What is your budget?
1000-1300

2) What size notebook would you prefer?

c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
d. Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen

3) Please select your country's flag as a post icon and tell us what country are you buying this in.
Canada or US, i liv in both

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
dont like dell. or the lower end labbies

5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
gaming {WoW}, Multi Media, Plugging into TV, video conversoins.

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
mostly my house and my friends house.

7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games? ermm WoW

8) How many hours of battery life do you need? 2ish

9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person? online is best

10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista), Mac OS, Linux, etc.

glossy would be nice.

Build Quality and Design

it's a nice bonus

15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
i dont want parts to fry out on me.

Notebook Components

16) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 500GB?
least 80+

17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?

yes. def dvd burner, blue ray/hd would be a + but not nessassary.

18) RAM?
i want 3-4 gigs of ram yes i have a 64 bit OS.
or a 2 gig 1 DIMM

If you want my view then here:

1. No budget usually 3.500K Euro
2. D - The 17'' but not as a desktop replacement
3. I live In Eire/Ireland
4.

Like:
Apple
Sony
Komplett
Acer
Asus

Hate:
Dell
Fujutsi Siemens

Middle/not sure:
Alienware

5. Hard core gaming on the road as well as movie making/Music making/Photo editing

6. Taking with me.

7. All sorts: Crysis/Sims/Tomb Raider/Orange box/Lost planet etc

8. 2 2/4 Hours

9. Don't care usually past experience with maker and products

10. I love Mac OS 10 Leopard with Bootcamped Vista Ultimate SP 1

11. Widescreen

12. e. WSXGA+ - 1680x1050

13. Matte - Smoother colors

14. If possible then yes usually love power

15. 4 - 5 years for a laptop taken with good (very very) good care

16. 200GB + - Need 100Min for Vista bootcamp and 100GB for Mac OS - Got 250GB version splitting in half and getting a 1 TB External

17. The super drive with DVD +/- 16x in the Macbook pro is fine

18. 2GB will do but will soon upgrade to 4GB 667MHz

the resolution on that is kind of small, but the video card and definetely the processor are great. and 4 gigs of ram on a laptop is pretty cool too lol. nice choice.
