I have a program that requires a USB key to operate it. Is there a way to get around something like this?
Note: when the key is plugged in it does not show up on the computer. I do not want to do anything illegal. I just want to operate the program at home and at work without risking losing the $4,000 USB drive in the commute. That is not illegal because I have already paid for the key and the program and both will not be running at the same time. I have thought about using a program called USB Hacksaw. But that is a scary program to use. Does any one have any other Ideas? |

There is no legal way to do this without purchasing another USB key, unless the software manufacturer offers some kind of alternative.
