Default building gaming PC

Hey guys,

I'm looking to build my first PC. I would like for it to last me for a year and a half or so.

I would like for it to run new games such as Warhammer Online, and Age of Conan on high settings lag free.

My budget is around $1000 US give or take 100 or so.

As it also being my first built PC i'm sure that I am forgetting some parts that I would need but just cant think of.

Any input on parts or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Are you in the US? Do you need monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers or operative system?

Well, for games yes. A Quad Core is truly for multitasking computers. Most games don't use more than 1 core so a Dual Core is plenty for a Gaming rig.

I'd rather go quad core for future games and I think many of you would be surprised at how much the 4 cores are already used in gaming
